Restauranteur Nello Bolan, who claims to be a descendant of Vlad the Impaler, has announced plans for a £4m restaurant in the heart of London’s Mayfair.
Nello will open a branch of his renowned Manhattan restaurant Nello in the capital. The new restaurant, however, is set to be as exclusive as its surroundings and not for your everyday diner. The owner, who never puts prices on his daily specials, recently charged an unsuspecting customer £175 for a bowl of truffle pasta.
The restaurant will be located on Mount Street, and is the latest in a long line of new eateries and hotels to announce plans to locate in London. The company behind the renowned celebrity-packed Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in the South of France is currently on the lookout for premises, and the £9m Hotel Xenia opened in South Kensington in May.
Just like its property, elite areas are packed full of elite places to wine and dine – something to aspire to on your next special occasion?
